About seedancevideo.com

We built this site because we couldn't find a single, reliable place that covered Seedance properly. ByteDance's documentation is scattered across Dreamina help pages, Chinese-language forums, and social media threads that disappear within days. So we started writing the guides we wished existed.

What We Do

seedancevideo.com is an independent informational resource dedicated to ByteDance's Seedance AI video generation technology. We are not affiliated with ByteDance, TikTok, CapCut, or Dreamina in any way. We don't sell Seedance access, we don't get paid by ByteDance, and we have no financial relationship with any AI video company.

What we do is test these tools ourselves, read the research papers, follow the developer communities, and compile everything into guides that actually help people get results. Every comparison on this site comes from hands-on use, not spec sheets.

Our Editorial Approach

We try to be genuinely useful rather than just ranking well on Google. That means:

  • We test what we write about. When we say Seedance handles fight scenes better than Sora, that's based on running the same prompts through both models repeatedly. We note where our testing was limited.
  • We update regularly. AI video tools change fast. Pricing changes, new features roll out, models get deprecated. We revisit our guides when things change rather than letting outdated information sit.
  • We acknowledge limitations. Seedance isn't perfect, and we say so. Our guides include honest assessments of what works, what doesn't, and where competitors do better.
  • We cite our sources. Technical specifications come from official documentation, research papers, and verified announcements. When we rely on community reports, we say so.

Why Focus on Seedance?

The AI video generation space is moving incredibly fast, and Seedance sits at an interesting intersection. ByteDance has the resources of TikTok behind it, the research talent (Wu Yonghui's team includes former Google Brain scientists), and the commercial incentive to push video generation further than anyone else. We believe covering it thoroughly is worthwhile—both for creators looking to use these tools and for anyone trying to understand where AI video is headed.

That said, we cover the entire landscape. Our comparison guides include Sora, Kling, Veo, Runway, and others. When a competitor does something better, we say so.

Who We Are

We're a small team of AI and video technology enthusiasts based in Europe. We've been following generative AI since the early Stable Diffusion days and started tracking ByteDance's video research when Seedance 1.0 first appeared in mid-2025. Between us, we've generated thousands of clips across every major AI video platform.
